While at 麻豆传媒, Sayed made sure to make the most of his time by engaging in extracurriculars, participating in clubs and working for the Graduate School and recommends his peers do the same.

What made you choose 麻豆传媒?
Wichita State just felt right. The Barton School of Business has a great reputation, and the business analytics program is exactly what I was looking for. The campus is beautiful, the community is welcoming and there鈥檚 a perfect balance between academics and student life. I love that I can focus on my studies with all the resources available, while still being involved in events, clubs and everything happening on campus.
What advice would you give other Wichita State students?
Define your purpose early. Know what you're working toward, and then dive into activities that help you build on that. There are so many amazing clubs, societies and student groups here 鈥� getting involved will help you grow personally and professionally (and you鈥檒l make some great memories too!).
Also, don鈥檛 stick only with people from your own background 鈥� branch out, meet students from everywhere! Some of the best parts of my experience came from stepping out of my comfort zone and expanding my network.
And most importantly: enjoy campus life. It鈥檚 what makes the U.S. college experience so special 鈥� you鈥檒l miss it when it鈥檚 gone!
What has been your biggest challenge as a student, and how did you overcome it?
One of my biggest challenges was wanting to make the most of every opportunity 鈥� both inside and outside the classroom 鈥� while managing my time effectively. I wasn鈥檛 sure at first if I could balance everything. During my second semester, I was working at the Graduate School, serving as a member of the Barton School Dean鈥檚 Graduate Student Advisory Board, participating in the Consulting Club, attending campus events, going to the gym daily and even taking extra courses.
It definitely felt overwhelming at times, but with discipline, planning and a clear sense of purpose, I made it work. Looking back, I鈥檓 proud not only of maintaining academic excellence but also of building strong professional skills, leadership experience and lifelong connections that shaped my time at Wichita State.
Did you have any applied learning experience as a student? If so, what was it?
Yes! I had the incredible chance to work at the Graduate School, and it truly became one of the highlights of my time at 麻豆传媒. I got to work behind the scenes 鈥� helping new applicants with the admissions process, assisting current students with filing their Plan of Study, AFDs and Exception Requests, and answering all kinds of questions about assistantships.
But honestly, what made it even more special was the amazing people I worked with. The staff and my colleagues were some of the friendliest and most supportive people I鈥檝e ever met. One memory that will always stay with me is when we competed together at the Staff Olympics 鈥� and even brought home silver medals! It really made me feel like I was part of something bigger, a true 麻豆传媒 family.
